Akita 634BL Fly Hooks

Akita 634BL is a barbless hook for jig and nymph patterns. It suits flies where the nymph body and any added weight must be arranged within a compact tying space. The barbless form is appropriate for methods that call for efficient unhooking and controlled contact with the fish.

Design and use

Plan the nymph proportions around the available tying area, leaving usable space near the eye and point. This model can be selected for general nymphs, jig-style patterns and constructions using a bead or other weight when their layout suits the chosen hook size. With a barbless point, maintain steady tension throughout the fight.
