Akita 654BL Fly Hooks

Akita 654BL is a barbless hook intended for jig and nymph patterns. It provides a base for compact flies such as weighted nymphs, larval imitations and other subsurface constructions. During tying, the body, weight and point area can be kept clearly separated for a controlled finished profile.

Design and use

Select this model when the fly should retain compact proportions and offer enough working space for an orderly arrangement of materials. The barbless point supports easier release after the catch. Keep the point area clear in the finished pattern and maintain line tension during the fight, as with any barbless presentation.
