Akita 664BL Fly Hooks

Akita 664BL is a barbless hook for jig and nymph patterns. It is intended for subsurface flies where compact proportions matter and the body, weight and finishing materials need to be arranged in an orderly way. It can be used for nymphs with a clear, functional silhouette.

Design and use

Match the intended fly profile to the available tying space and leave the point area free of excess material. The barbless form supports easier unhooking, while the rig should be kept under steady tension. The 664BL may be selected for general nymphs, jigs and weighted patterns when their planned proportions suit the hook.
