Akita AK 483 Fly Hooks (25)

Akita AK 483 is a barbed, extended-shank hook intended mainly for Muddlers and heavy streamers. Its heavy reinforced wire suits large patterns designed to fish deep or to be used around underwater structure.

Design and use

The straight eye helps when finishing a fly after setting deer hair and when guiding the thread around a Muddler head. The long shank provides room for an extended body and bulky head, while the strong wire suits weighted constructions. Forged construction and a bronze finish provide a traditional platform for streamers and large nymphs with substantial proportions.

• Use: Muddlers and heavy streamers.
