Akita AK 511 BL SS Fly Hooks

Akita AK 511 BL SS is a barbless hook for dry flies and nymphs. The Special Sting designation refers to notches on the point within its barbless construction. The model suits patterns that combine a light build with a clearly formed bend.

Construction and use

The fine-wire construction suits small, light flies, while the Perfect Bend forms a continuous curve for shaping the body. The point notches are part of the Special Sting construction. When tying, plan the body and head to retain working space on the straight section of the shank. The hook has a downturned eye, a non-forged construction and a black-nickel finish.
