Akita AK 539 BL Fly Hooks (25)
Akita AK 539 BL (25) is a barbless hook for Klinkhammer dry flies and imitations of emerging insects. It can also be used for nymphs and wet flies, making it suitable for patterns with different proportions and fishing presentations.
Design and use
The straight shank and straight eye provide a conventional base for tying the body and head. For a Klinkhammer, arrange the working space to retain the pattern’s characteristic body and hackle position. For nymphs and wet flies, the same bend area can be used with the material quantity adjusted to the chosen pattern. The hook is non-forged and finished in black nickel.

Just testing these hooks tying extended body mayflies (Danica). This hook is light and seems to have good hooking and holdeng capabilities. It makes the extended body stay well off the hook point giving a safe hooking.
Seems to be a great hook for this kind of fly.
