Akita AK 549 BL Fly Hooks (25)
Akita AK 549 BL (25) is a barbless fine-wire hook for Klinkhammer dry flies and emerging-insect imitations. Its shape also allows use with a broad range of nymphs and wet flies.
Design and use
The fine wire helps keep the construction light, which is useful for dry flies and parachute patterns. The straight shank and straight eye provide an orderly tying area for the body, wings, hackle and head. With a Klinkhammer, distribute the materials to preserve the pattern’s characteristic profile; with nymphs and wet flies, adjust material volume to the intended design. The model is non-forged and finished in black nickel.
