Akita AK 711 BL Fly Hooks (25)

Akita AK 711 BL is a barbless fly hook for gammarus, shrimp and Czech nymphs. Standard wire keeps the weight moderate and suits the compact proportions of subsurface dressings. The forged construction and black nickel finish provide a base for dubbing, chenille and segmented body materials.

Design and use

The long, curved shank leaves room for a gammarus or Czech nymph body, along with a defined thorax and head. It can also be selected for emergers and dry flies when the intended pattern benefits from this shank proportion. Keep the gap and point area clear while tying this barbless model.
