Akita AK 717 Fly Hooks (25)

Akita AK 717 (25) is a barbed fly hook for nymphs, emergers and light dressings. Its long, slightly curved shank suits slim bodies and patterns with a gently defined bend. The straight eye helps guide tying thread along the shank and finish the head without changing the fly's proportions.

Construction and use

The gently curved, long shank suits segmented bodies, a slim thorax and emerger wing materials. This model is suited to lighter nymphs and emerging-insect patterns with an elongated profile. Arrange the materials during tying so that they remain clear of the hook point.
