Akita AK 719 Fly Hooks (25)

Akita AK 719 (25) is a barbed fly hook with a long, strongly curved shank. It suits nymphs and adult stoneflies, as well as glajcha patterns, cased caddis, and selected mylar baitfish and streamers, including upside-down versions. Its extended profile suits dressings with clearly defined body and trailing-material length.

Construction and use

The pronounced shank curve suits elongated, segmented stonefly and nymph bodies. The straight eye provides a natural starting point for finishing the head. This model suits dry flies and subsurface patterns with a long profile; arrange the materials to keep them clear of the hook point.
