Akita AK 788 BL (25) is a barbless fly hook with a curved profile for gammarus patterns and Czech nymphs. The strong wire suits heavier constructions where the body needs to retain a stable, full shape.

Design and use

The curved profile helps form a rounded gammarus abdomen and the characteristic body of a Czech nymph. Distribute the materials evenly along the bend, leaving space for the thorax and a clean finish near the eye. The forged hook with a Black Nickel finish provides a base for weighted patterns and flies tied with fuller body materials.

  • Type: barbless hook for gammarus patterns and Czech nymphs
  • Profile: curved
  • Wire: strong
  • Construction and finish: forged, Black Nickel
  • Pack: 25 hooks
