Akita AK 881 Fly Hooks (25)
Akita AK 881 is a barbed wet-fly and nymph hook made from heavy wire. Its standard-length shank supports familiar proportions, while the stronger construction suits patterns intended for larger fish.
Design and use
The straight, standard shank leaves room for a body, wing or soft-hackle materials. The downturned eye allows the front of the fly to be formed close to the thread tie-in point. The heavy wire adds weight and suits wet flies intended to work deeper in the water column. When tying, leave clear space at the eye and maintain a defined wing or hackle profile.
