Black Gnat

Black Gnat is a small, versatile dry fly for trout and grayling feeding on small, dark mayflies. Fish it on calmer glides and slower runs on a drag-free drift, without skating.

Choose sizes 16–18 when fish are taking the smallest insects from the surface and feeding cautiously. Tied on a barbless hook.
