Black Spider

Black Spider is a small terrestrial dry fly for trout, grayling, chub and ide taking small insects from the surface. Use it in summer and early autumn beneath overhanging branches, alongside bankside vegetation and on quieter runs.

Present the fly on a natural dead drift, avoiding line mending over a feeding fish. Choose a smaller size when the fish are taking smaller insects. Barbless hook.
