Blue Dun is a classic wet fly based on dark mayflies, intended for trout and grayling feeding just beneath the surface. It is useful on colder days and in overcast weather, when small insects are present on the water.

Fish it across the current or slightly downstream, maintaining contact with the fly. Finish the retrieve with a steady lift. Barbless hook, sizes #12 and #14.
