Bristol Hopper Popper Claret / Black

Bristol Hopper Popper Claret / Black is a lake surface fly from the Hopper family, intended for trout feeding close to the surface. It combines the character of a terrestrial insect with a popper's action, allowing the presentation to be brought to life with a short movement.

After casting, let the fly rest quietly, then make short retrieves with clear pauses between them. The claret/black version provides greater contrast in changeable light and a slight ripple. Barbless hook, size #10.
