DNA Frosty Fish Fiber
DNA Frosty Fish Fiber consists of translucent, helically formed synthetic fibres for streamer wings, backs and lateral accents. The twisted structure adds a little body and dimension, while the apparent depth and sheen change as the angle of light changes. This gives baitfish patterns shifting visual accents without requiring a dense, heavy bundle. Each section is about 20 cm long and can be used on its own, combined with other fibres or layered to build the desired profile.
Construction and use
Start with a small bundle and add fibres gradually to match the hook size and the intended baitfish silhouette. Secure the material firmly at several points along the hook shank, arrange it along the sides or stack it in layers, then trim the profile with scissors. Leave enough room for the helical fibres to move rather than compressing them into a solid mass. Shorter pieces can form a tail or a restrained lateral accent on a streamer when a full wing is not required.
- Form: loose, translucent synthetic fibres with a helical shape.
- Length: approximately 20 cm.
- Optical effect: changing apparent depth and sheen with the angle of light.
- Uses: streamer wings, backs, lateral lines and tails for baitfish patterns.
