Dr Slick Arrow Point Tugsten Carbide 3.5 in is a compact pair of fly-tying scissors with an overall length of 3.5 in, combining the short Arrow frame with tungsten-carbide cutting blades. The T.C. blades are welded onto the scissor blade frame, so the complete tool is not made from solid tungsten carbide. This construction gives the cutting edges greater wear resistance and allows them to retain their sharpness longer than standard stainless-steel blades. The model was developed primarily for modern synthetic materials, while remaining capable of cutting a broad range of natural fly-tying materials.
The straight blades have plain, non-serrated edges for a smooth cutting action. Their short Arrow profile and pointed tips help the user work close to a fly head or reach confined areas of a pattern, particularly during detailed trimming on smaller flies. Black finger loops provide a conventional grip and allow the scissors to remain on the fingers between successive tying steps.
