Dr Slick Curved 5 inch Gold Clamp
Dr Slick Curved 5 inch Gold Clamp is a versatile 5-inch fishing forceps designed for accurate work at the waterside. Its curved jaws provide useful access to a fly or hook and a controlled grip when releasing a fish. The tool can also be used to flatten hook barbs and close split shot.
The jaws are angled at 30° and combine smooth and striated gripping surfaces. The smooth section is useful when controlled pressure is required, while the striations provide additional purchase. A pin set between the shanks can help clear blocked hook eyes and open small split shot. Gold-coloured finger loops also make the forceps easier to spot amongst other tools carried on a vest or in a pack.
The clamp is made from Japanese 410 stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of 42. Remove moisture and debris after fishing, and occasionally apply a small amount of oil to the working mechanism. Following use around salt water, rinse the tool thoroughly in fresh water and dry it before storage.
