Dr Slick Curved 6 inch Gold Clamp
Dr Slick Curved 6 inch Gold Clamp is a 6-inch fishing forceps designed for controlled hook removal, crushing barbs and closing split shot. Its longer profile provides useful reach when working around a fish’s mouth, while the tip is curved through 30° to improve access and keep the angler’s view of the hook less obstructed.
The jaws combine smooth and striated sections. The smooth area provides a suitable surface for flattening a barb, while the ridged section gives a more secure grip on hooks and small items of tackle. A ratchet mechanism locks the jaws at several levels of pressure, so the tool can maintain its hold without continuous finger pressure. The pin set into the shank can also be used to clear blocked hook eyes or help open small split shot.
The clamp is made from 410 Japanese stainless steel hardened to 42 HRC. Its gold finger loops are easy to identify among other tools and provide familiar, precise handling. After fishing, remove any debris, rinse the clamp with clean water and dry it thoroughly. An occasional small drop of oil at the hinge will help the joint and locking mechanism continue to operate smoothly.
