Dr Slick Twisted Loop 4 All Purpose Scissor

Dr Slick Twisted Loop 4 All Purpose Scissor is a fly-tying scissor with a 4-inch overall length and Dr Slick’s distinctive Twisted Loop handle arrangement. One finger loop is offset from the other, with a gap between the two loops. This geometry gives the fingers more freedom of movement and supports controlled handling while being designed to reduce hand fatigue. It is particularly practical for tiers who keep their scissors in hand between successive cuts. The thumb is placed in the standard, non-offset loop.

The straight blades are made from 410 Japanese stainless steel hardened to 45 HRC. Serration along the cutting edge helps hold fibres in place, reducing their tendency to slide along the blade as they are cut. The scissors are intended for natural fly-tying materials and can also handle most synthetics. Their All Purpose profile is suited to routine work at the vise, from shortening materials to making more deliberate shaping cuts on smaller fly components.
