FFGene Brass Hackle Pliers Small

FFGene Brass Hackle Pliers Small are compact brass hackle pliers with a spring-loop construction. Their short, straight jaws are designed to grip the tip or stem of a feather, keeping the material held while it is wrapped around the hook shank. The Small version takes up little space beside the vise and can be handled close to the fly being tied.

The closed loop serves as both the handle and the spring: squeezing the arms opens the jaws, while releasing the pressure closes them around the feather. The head is fixed and has no rotary mechanism, so the complete tool is guided around the hook when winding hackle. This straightforward construction gives direct control over the position of the held material.
