FFGene Brass Hot Cone Head

FFGene Brass Hot Cone Head is a brass cone head with a bright coloured finish for constructing streamers. It forms a distinct fly head and adds compact ballast, helping the pattern fish deeper than a construction without a head.

Construction and use

Slide the head onto the hook shank before starting the tying work. Its central hole is intended for conventional mounting, while the tapered shape gathers the materials behind the eye and gives the front of the fly a compact profile. Brass provides less ballast than a comparable tungsten part, so select the size according to the hook eye, shank and intended fishing depth. Before tying, check that the hole passes over the hook eye and that the head can seat correctly on the shank without restricting the hook. Variants may differ in colour and size; each package contains 12 pieces.
