FFGene Cock Neck Hackles
FFGene Cock Neck Hackles are loose cock neck feathers available in a broad range of colours. Their classic form suits hackles and coloured fly components, while the feather length works well for larger patterns. The material is particularly useful for streamers, wet flies and pike flies, where individual fibres can form a tail, wing or defined outline around the fly.
Construction and use
A neck feather can be used whole or trimmed to the required section. When winding it, control the direction of the fibres and maintain steady thread tension to preserve the intended profile. The natural assortment includes feathers with varied lengths, fibre widths and colour intensity, making it easy to match the material to a particular fly size and design.
