FFGene Dazl Hot Eyes

FFGene Dazl Hot Eyes are brass dumbbell-style eyes for adding ballast to streamers and other flies that need extra weight. The bright Hot finish provides a distinct reflective accent, while brass gives less weight than a comparable tungsten component.

Construction and use

Tie the eyes crosswise to the hook shank, working the thread alternately in a figure-eight pattern around both sides. This mounting method stabilises the component and helps maintain the fly’s intended orientation; the effect on sink rate depends on eye size and the total weight of the pattern. Before tying, check that the eye spacing and holes suit the hook diameter and the planned fly layout.
