FFGene Deluxe Hair Stacker

FFGene Fur stacker De Lux is a metal hair stacker distinguished by its decorative gold-tone finish and shaped cylindrical body. Its hollow chamber is closed at one end, allowing the natural hair tips to settle into a common line when the tool is tapped on the bench. This makes it easier to prepare an even bunch before tying it in, without laboriously arranging individual hairs by hand.

Place the cut bunch in the chamber with the natural tips facing the closed end, then tap the tool on the worktop several times. Withdraw the material while preserving its orientation, and it is ready to be secured with tying thread. The stacker is useful for preparing squirrel-hair wings, calf-tail tails and deer-hair bunches for Muddler-style flies. It does not cut or taper the material; its function is to bring the existing hair tips into alignment.
