FFGene Hair stacker
FFGene Hair stacker is an individual hair-stacking tool designed to align the natural tips of hair before the material is tied to the hook. It is useful when preparing bunches for wings, tails and collars, including squirrel, calf and deer hair. The tool organises the tips without trimming them, preserving their natural tapered profile. It is not a hair packer and is not intended to compress or densify hair that has already been secured around the hook shank.
Before stacking, remove underfur, loose fibres and debris from the bunch. Place the cleaned hair into the stacker with the tips directed into the tool, then tap it lightly against a firm surface several times. This allows the fibres to settle to a common level. The material can then be removed by gripping the aligned tips, measured to the required length and transferred directly to the hook without cutting away its natural taper.
