FFGene Hair Stacker 3

FFGene Fur stacker - 3 is a size 3 hair stacker intended for preparing larger flies and fuller bunches of hair. It helps bring the natural tips of the material into line before the bunch is tied onto the hook, making it easier to maintain an orderly profile in a wing, tail or a hair section used in a muddler pattern.

Remove loose underfur from the cut bunch, place the hair in the stacker with the tips facing down, then tap the tool lightly against the bench several times. The fibres settle towards the same level and can then be removed as an aligned bundle. The tool can be used when preparing materials such as squirrel hair, calf tail and deer hair.
