FFGene Heavy Metal Silicone Legs

FFGene Heavy Metal Silicone Legs are prepared silicone leg strands supplied on a tab, with the metallic and reflective treatment of the Heavy Metal family. Individual strands form legs, feelers and tails, while grouped strands can be tied as a wing accent on streamers, poppers, saltwater flies or pike flies. Keep the treated surface facing outward when it is intended to remain visible.

Construction and use

Separate or cut the required number of strands from the tab, keeping their lengths consistent within the fly. Secure a strand at its centre for a pair of legs, or by one end for a tail or wing element. Use broad wraps and moderate thread pressure to hold the silicone without cutting it. After attachment, split the free ends when separate movement is required, or leave them grouped for a fuller accent.
