FFGene Ice Fry and Shrimp Dubbing

FFGene Ice Fry and Shrimp Dubbing combines several synthetic and natural fibre types with flash fibres. The varied blend helps create fuller streamer components with visible movement and controlled sparkle. It is intended especially for flies imitating small baitfish, shrimp and krill, while also fitting a broad range of freshwater and saltwater patterns.

Construction and use

For a larger, more open body, place the material in a dubbing loop so the different fibres are distributed through the twist rather than concentrated in one spot. After tightening the loop, brush the result and trim the outline to match the baitfish or crustacean profile. Smaller amounts can still be spun directly onto the thread when a slimmer body is required.
