FFGene Peacock Sword Bleached
FFGene Peacock Sword Bleached contains 4 bleached peacock sword tail feathers, supplied as 2 pairs and dyed in clear, even colours. The feathers come from the side sections of the tail and have long, compact fibres suited to forming distinct fly components.
Construction and use
Peacock swords are slim, lustrous and orderly. Their fibres can be aligned for wet-fly wings, tails, streamer toppings and decorative salmon-fly elements. Bleaching prepares the material for dyeing when a pattern calls for a defined colour accent. A classic application is the wing of the Alexandra wet fly. The paired format helps the tier select matching sections for a balanced wing.
