FFGene Squirmy Wormies

FFGene Squirmy Wormies is a very soft elastic worm and body material supplied as a long strand for worm-shaped bodies, tails and soft fly segments. The family includes different colour variants, allowing the shade to be matched to the underbody and intended silhouette. It is suited to patterns where the body should retain a soft, freely settling form.

Construction and use

Cut the required section and secure it at the rear of the body with broad, moderately tight thread wraps. Excessive pressure can cut into a soft material, so spread several wraps over a wider area instead of tightening one point. Tension can be used to adjust the length and slim the body; once the shape is set, tie the material down at the front and trim the excess. If adhesive is considered, test a small amount on an offcut first so the surface is not damaged.
