FFGene Teal Duck Flank
FFGene Teal Duck Flank consists of natural, loose flank feathers from the teal drake. The distinctive black-and-white barring and soft, mobile structure make this material useful for many fly components. Individual sections can be used for wet-fly wings, including sea-trout, salmon and Spey patterns, and for dry-fly wings such as Light Cahill. The feathers also form a soft, mobile hackle in wet flies. This is a natural colour.
Construction and use
Tie in the feather whole, cut a strip from it or use individual fibres, depending on the pattern. Match the usable width and barring to the fly size and silhouette to create an even, clear profile when the material is folded or mounted.
