FFGene Tungsten Anodized Beads

FFGene Tungsten Anodized Beads are tungsten fly-tying beads with a central hole and anodized finish. They provide compact weight for nymphs, streamers and other patterns where the bead is conventionally seated on the hook.

Construction and use

Tungsten concentrates ballast at the front of the fly and helps it descend more quickly in the water. The central hole allows the bead to be slid onto the hook before the body is tied. Choose the size to suit the hook, materials and intended profile; before tying, check that the hole passes over the hook eye and bend. The anodized surface gives the bead a coloured finish and reflects light. Secure seating comes from correct bead selection and finishing the fly behind the bead.
