FFGene Tungsten Mayfly. Clinger. Crawler Heads are profiled tungsten heads for flattened mayfly nymphs. They are made for imitations of forms that cling in current and forms that crawl over the bottom.

Construction and use

Tungsten provides compact ballast, allowing the profiled fly to descend quickly toward the bottom. Before mounting, pass the head over the hook eye and bend, checking the opening against the selected hook; then seat it on the shank and tie the body and abdomen of the mayfly imitation. Choose the size to match the hook and the intended flattened nymph profile.
