FFGene Tungsten Slotted Bright Beads-2

FFGene Tungsten Slotted Bright Beads-2 is a slotted tungsten bead designed for weighting nymphs, jigs and streamers. The compact tungsten ballast helps take the fly deeper, while the Bright finish reflects light at the front of the pattern.

Construction and use

The longitudinal slot makes fitting easier on a hook whose bend makes a central-hole bead difficult to use. This is particularly practical with jig hooks; on conventional hooks, use the bead after checking the fit. Once placed, position it at the eye and check that it does not move excessively. Match the size to the hook and intended profile, and always check the slot and opening against the eye and bend of the particular hook.

• Weighting: tungsten concentrates ballast in a small bead volume.
• Slot: it eases passage over the bend, especially on jig hooks.
• Bright finish: the glossy surface reflects light and adds visibility to the detail.
• Selection: match the bead to the hook and check its seating at the eye after fitting.
