FFGene Tungsten Slotted Bright Beads-4 are slotted tungsten beads for weighting nymphs, jigs and streamers. Dense tungsten provides compact ballast, while the Bright finish reflects light and adds a reflective element to the fly’s front.
Construction and use
The slot makes it easier to pass the bead onto hooks where the bend resists a central hole, particularly on jig patterns. Before tying, check that the slot and opening suit both the hook eye and bend. Seat the bead at the eye and secure it with the tying materials appropriate to the pattern. Choose the bead in relation to the hook, the fly’s proportions and the required sink rate rather than treating one size as universal.
