Ginger Quill
Ginger Quill is a classic wet fly for trout and grayling, intended for a discreet presentation beneath the surface. Use it on the river when fish are taking small food carried by the current but are not clearly feeding from the surface.
Fish it on a controlled line, allowing a natural dead drift, then gently lift the fly through the water column at the end of the drift. The barbless hook makes releasing the fish easier.
