Greys Wing Streamflex Fly Rod

Greys Wing Streamflex develops the long-established Streamflex family of fly rods for light-line fishing on rivers and streams. The Streamflex name is closely associated with European river techniques in which line control, accurate presentation and clear contact with the rod are central to the approach. For this generation, Greys introduced revised actions, a slimmer blank profile and balance intended to promote in-hand feel and effective control of the fly line.

The family covers several branches of river fishing, ranging from delicate dry-fly presentation on confined streams to broader-purpose river techniques and specialist Euro-nymphing applications. Individual blank designs are tuned to their intended roles while retaining the medium-fast action specified throughout the series. This gives the range a consistent Wing Streamflex character while allowing the appropriate model to be selected for a particular method and type of water.

Construction and series character

Every Wing Streamflex is built on a slim Powerlux carbon blank. Greys combines this construction with a medium-fast action and balance developed to support line control and a clear feel in the hand. An AAA-grade cork handle is part of the common specification across the family.

The guide set combines lined stripping guides with single-foot snake guides. The alloy reel seat incorporates a selected wood spacer and two locking nuts with a nylon cushioning ring. Its keyed and milled sliding band is specified as a weight-reducing detail within the reel-seat assembly.

The blank elements carry model identification and alignment dots for straightforward assembly. Each rod in the family is supplied with a fabric rod bag and a hard tube. Together, these details form a specialist river series defined by its Powerlux carbon construction, medium-fast action and fittings selected for light-line fly-fishing techniques.
