H2O Brush N Wing Fibre
H2O Brush N Wing Fibre is a ready synthetic-fibre brush held in a wire core. This construction gathers the strands into an even, easy-to-wrap material, speeding the construction of streamer wings, backs and sides. Once wrapped, it creates a fuller profile, while the fibres can be swept back, tapered and trimmed to match the shape of the fly.
Construction and use
Cut a section suited to the hook shank. Secure the core, wrap it in even turns and sweep the fibres rearward after each turn so they are not trapped beneath the next section.
- Wing and back Tie in the wire core, wrap the brush toward the eye or along the shank, then shape the profile with scissors.
- Streamer sides Brushed-out fibres form a lateral layer and add body without requiring numerous separate loose bundles.
- Wrapping technique Keep steady tension as you wind and secure the wire firmly before cutting, particularly near the hook eye.
- Finishing Sweep the fibres back, comb out the profile and trim only the strands extending beyond the intended baitfish shape.
