H2O Deadly Dazzle
H2O Deadly Dazzle is a synthetic fibre material for constructing streamers. Its combination of a lightly crimped, textured fibre and UV-reflective flash adds fullness and a softly dimensional profile while retaining open translucency between the strands. It is useful when a wing needs body but must still move freely in the water.
Construction and use
Work with small portions and secure each base firmly before adding the next layer. This makes it possible to build the back, side and tail gradually while controlling the transition from a short head area to longer trailing fibres.
- Streamer wings Tie the fibres along the top of the hook, spread them to the sides and taper the ends into a baitfish silhouette.
- UV accent Leave the UV-reflective strands subtly blended through the material or expose them more clearly in a lateral layer.
- Building volume Layer the material instead of forming one heavy bundle; the profile is easier to shape and retains better movement.
- Finishing Comb out the fibres, even the length and trim with scissors to suit the streamer’s size and intended outline.
