H2O Fluoro Fibre
H2O Fluoro Fibre consists of loose synthetic fibres for building streamer wings and profiles. Its fluorescent response increases the visibility of a selected accent in the water, making it useful in gill details, sides, or tails. The fine fibres combine readily with other synthetic hairs, allowing layered control of volume rather than a heavy, compact bundle.
Construction and use
Separate a small portion, align it between your fingers, and secure it to the hook shank. The material works well as an accent or as one layer of a wing; after tying, comb, separate, and trim it to shape the imitation.
- Gills and side accents Place a narrow bundle between wing layers so the fluorescent colour remains visible without overloading the fly.
- Tails Secure a short portion behind the body, keeping its length in proportion to the hook size.
- Streamer wings Blend it with Polar Fibre or Slinky Fibre and build the profile gradually, one layer at a time.
- Preparation Loosen the strand before cutting, secure it with several tight thread wraps, and trim the ends after shaping the silhouette.
