H2O Lightweight Rainbow Dumbells are lightweight three-dimensional dumbbell-shaped eyes, intended primarily for streamers and predator flies. Their multicolour finish reflects light, while the low weight adds a defined head detail without significantly changing the fly’s sink rate.

Construction and use

The eye components are designed to stay together while tying. Set the dumbbells crosswise on the hook shank and secure them with figure-eight thread wraps, adding wraps in front of and behind the eyes. Choose a size that suits the head volume and hook. Check that the seating leaves clearance around the hook eye and bend, then lock the thread wraps in place.
