H2O Mirror Image
H2O Mirror Image is a fine, lightly crimped synthetic fibre for translucent wings and fly profiles. It combines low bulk with the ability to create shape, making it suitable for a slim streamer wing as well as a fuller baitfish body. Its subtle texture helps maintain a soft, natural-looking outline in the finished fly.
Construction and use
Separate a small bundle, even the tips and secure it firmly to the hook shank. Add further layers gradually, controlling the width from the back towards the sides. The fibres may be gently teased apart to spread them, or trimmed after they have been tied in. Use modest amounts on smaller flies to preserve translucency and free movement.
