H2O Polar Fibre

H2O Polar Fibre is a soft, pre-tapered synthetic fibre for streamer wings, tails and baitfish profiles. It holds its shape in the water, while its fibrous structure builds a defined silhouette without requiring a heavy, compact bundle. The material can also be trimmed after tying to match the outline of a particular fly pattern.

Construction and use

Select a modest portion and secure it firmly on the hook shank. The tapered tips make a slim wing straightforward; a larger bundle or several layers can create a fuller profile. Separate the fibres with your fingers before tying, then trim the shape with scissors once secured. The material also works with epoxy or resin when a shaped, reinforced outline is required.
