Hareline Cohens Carp Dub

Hareline Cohen’s Carp Dub is a multi-component blend developed for carp flies, although its uses extend well beyond that purpose. A soft base combines subtle colour variation and controlled flash with very fine elastic fibres that project from the body like small legs. The result continues to move even when the fly is retrieved very slowly.

Construction and use

The blend can be twisted directly onto thread, but a dubbing loop or split thread displays the rubber-like fibres more effectively. Brush the body lightly after wrapping. This produces an irregular outline suited to larvae, crayfish and other bottom-dwelling food forms without tying in numerous separate pairs of legs.
