Hareline Dyed Grade #1 Hare's Mask
Hareline Dyed Grade #1 Hares Mask is a whole dyed hare mask containing fine facial hair, guard hairs, and underfur. The different areas provide material for dubbing, tails, legs, and small bunches used on nymphs and wet flies.
Construction and use
Sort the material by mask section before cutting it. Fine hair and underfur can be removed from the skin and used separately or blended into dubbing, while the longer guard hairs suit tails, legs, and accent fibres. Cut small pieces close to the skin and hold each bunch with a few loose wraps before tightening the thread.
- Form: whole hare mask rather than a bag of loose fibres.
- Hair structure: fine facial hair, guard hairs, and underfur.
- Preparation: select the mask area, cut small pieces, and separate the fibres.
- Uses: dubbing, tails, legs, nymphs, and wet flies.
