Hareline Grizzly Soft Hackle
Hareline Grizzly Soft Hackle consists of loose fly-tying feathers with the familiar grizzly barred pattern. The supple fibres move around the fly and create a lively, subtly flashing outline. Use the material for soft collars, shoulder details or other mobile streamer finishes. Individual feathers can be tied in by the tip, wrapped around the shank or secured along the side of the fly.
Construction and use
The barred pattern adds clear contrast, while the soft fibres angle away from the body and pulse in the water. These feathers are useful for streamers with a mobile, natural-looking profile. They can also form a wing or part of a wing, depending on the fly design. Select the fibre length and feather width to match the size and proportions required by the pattern.
