Hareline Medium Polar Chenille
Hareline Medium Polar Chenille is a long-fibre chenille for moving bodies, collars and palmered synthetic hackle. Its translucent fibres remain loose and undulate in water in a marabou-like manner, giving a fly a lively, mobile profile without adding separate fibre bundles.
Construction and use
Expose a short section of the core, secure it to the hook shank, and wind the material in adjacent turns. Sweep the fibres back before every turn so they are not trapped beneath the core and the body remains consistent along its length. After tying, comb the material, leave it loose, or trim it to create a more compact outline.
- Form: chenille with loose, translucent fibres.
- Action: fibres undulate and move independently in water.
- Profile: builds a mobile body or soft collar.
- Uses: Woolly Buggers, wet flies, streamers and salmon or sea-trout patterns.
