Hareline Micro Fine Dry Fly Dub
Hareline Micro Fine Dry Fly Dub is a very fine dubbing cut into short fibres for precise construction of small and micro flies. The short staple reduces accidental bulk, making it easier to measure a minimal pinch and form a slim, evenly tapered abdomen even on a small hook. It is intended for control rather than a deliberately rough or brushed body.
Construction and use
Use the material sparingly, twisting a very thin noodle onto fine thread and adding more fibres only when necessary. The principal advantage of this line is volume control. Compared with standard Super Fine Dry Fly Dub, its shorter cut is easier to manage on the smallest patterns and on narrow bodies where segmentation must remain visible.
- Structure: very fine, short-cut fibres.
- Profile: slim bodies without unwanted lumps.
- Uses: small dry flies, emergers, olive patterns and fine nymphs.
- Technique: minimal pinches twisted directly onto fine tying thread.
